JazzCash CEO Highlights Digital Remittances as the Cornerstone of Economic Documentation and Inclusion at IAMTN Global Summit 2025

Karachi – October 9, 2025: At the International Association of Money Transfer Networks (IAMTN) Global Summit 2025, Murtaza Ali, Chief Executive Officer of JazzCash, joined industry leaders to discuss how empowered leadership and technology are redefining the future of global remittances.

Speaking at the session, Ali shared that Pakistan’s remittance story is evolving from one of convenience to that of empowerment. In FY25 Pakistan received a record USD 38.3 billion in remittance highlighting that a growing share of these inflows now move through digital rails, powered by platforms like JazzCash that turn cross-border inflows into formal financial participation.

Every transaction that moves through a digital channel carries a human story, a freelancer’s pride, a son’s promise, a mother’s relief,” Ali said. “Through JazzCash, millions of Pakistanis sending remittances to their loved ones now do so safely and instantly, creating a financial footprint that connects them to savings, insurance and credit, opening access to the wider formal economy.”

Highlighting Pakistan’s digital leap, Ali shared that JazzCash has processed over 4.7 million remittance transactions in 2025 so far, likely to touch 7 million by end of the year, connecting millions of Pakistanis to their families from around the globe. The platform also houses Pakistan’s largest freelancer base, with over 600,000 active accounts, enabling digital professionals to receive global payments instantly and securely. He added that one in every three JazzCash users is a woman, many of whom receive remittances to manage household expenses or reinvest in small home enterprises, turning each transaction into a step toward empowerment.

Ali explained that leadership in remittances means moving fast without compromising reliability, “Every transaction is a relationship built on confidence,” he said. “That’s why, at JazzCash, technology walks hand in hand with responsibility, every payment verified, every partner regulated, and every customer protected. That’s how we scale both transactions and trust.”

Concluding the session, Ali emphasized that the real differentiator in global fintech leadership will be human-centered design. “Leadership today isn’t about owning technology, it’s about owning trust,” he said. “The region is becoming a true digital financial-services hub because we’re pairing innovation with inclusion. At JazzCash, we’re proud to make remittances simpler, faster, and more human.”
