ABHI Microfinance Bank and Knowledge Platform Partner to Expand Financial Access in the Education Sector

Islamabad: ABHI Microfinance Bank Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Knowledge Platform (Private) Limited, an education technology company, to explore opportunities for expanding financial access and education-focused services for schools, teachers, parents, and students across Pakistan.

The collaboration establishes a framework through which both organizations will work together to design and promote financial solutions tailored to the education ecosystem. These solutions may include education financing options for families, earned wage access facilities for teachers and school staff, and financing support for school owners to upgrade technology infrastructure and operational capacity.

As education institutions increasingly adopt digital tools and modern management systems, the need for accessible financial solutions that support both institutions and families continues to grow. Through this partnership, ABHI Microfinance Bank and Knowledge Platform aim to explore ways to align financial services with the evolving needs of the education sector while supporting greater financial inclusion.

The collaboration will also include outreach initiatives such as awareness campaigns, engagement with schools, and joint marketing activities designed to help educators, parents, and institutions better understand and access available financial solutions. Knowledge Platform will assist by identifying potential partner schools, supporting solution design, and facilitating engagement within the education community.

As part of the initial phase of the collaboration, both organizations plan to conduct a pilot program with selected school groups in the Islamabad and Rawalpindi region. The pilot will help evaluate product adoption, gather feedback from participating schools and families, and refine service offerings before potential wider rollout.

The agreement was signed by Mariam Pervaiz, Chief Commercial Officer at ABHI Microfinance Bank, and Mahboob Mahmood, Founder and Chief Executive Officer at Knowledge Platform. The signing ceremony was also attended by Kabeer Naqvi, Entrepreneur in Residence at ABHI, along with senior representatives from both organizations.

Through this collaboration, ABHI Microfinance Bank and Knowledge Platform aim to support a more inclusive and digitally enabled education environment by connecting financial services with learning ecosystems and strengthening support systems for schools, educators, and families across Pakistan.
