Shipping Activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI, Sep 15 :Five ships namely, MSC Tia-II, Sea-Span Beacon,No.2 Ocean Pioneer, XT Pioneer and Hafnia Pegasus, carrying Containers, Palm oil, Chemicals and Gas oil, berthed at Qasim International Container Terminal, Liquid Cargo Terminal, Multi-Purpose Terminal and FOTCO Oil Terminal respectively on Thursday.

Meanwhile another gas carrier Maran-gas Asclepius is also arrived at outer anchorage of the Port Qasim on Friday.

A total of 07 ships were engaged at PQA berths during the last 24 hours, out of them two container ships, MSC Tia-II and Sea-Span Beacon left the port on Friday, while two more ships, XT Pioneer and African Owl are expected to sail on same day.

A cargo volume of 72,084 tonnes, comprising 28,912 tones imports Cargo and 43,172 tonnes export cargo, including containerized cargo carried in 3,559 Containers (1,340 TEUs Imports and 2,219 TEUs export) was handled during last 24 hours.

There are seven ships at Outer Anchorage of Port Qasim, out of them a gas carrier Maran-gas Asclepius & three more ships, Samson, SSL Mumbai and Lana are expected to take berths at Elengy Terminal, Bulk Terminal and Container Terminal respectively on Friday, while four more container ships, Anbien Bay, OOCL Savannah, APL Antwerp and Meratus Jayakarta are due to arrive at Port Qasim on Saturday & another containers ship, MSC Cape-Town-III is due to arrive on Sunday.
