FFC team visits IUB

KARACHI : A delegation from Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited visited the Department of Soil Science at The Islamia University of Bahawalpur to explore institutional collaboration and research partnerships.

The visiting team, including Muhammad Tahir Naeem, head of Farm Advisory Centre Multan, and Wassim Abbas, head of Agriculture Territory Bahawalpur, was briefed on the department’s ongoing research and facilities by Dr. Azhar Hussain and Dr. Fakhar uz Zaman. Prof. Dr. Maqshoof Ahmad, Chairman of the Department, highlighted academic achievements and discussed internship opportunities for students.

Speaking on the occasion, Dean Faculty of Agriculture Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi appreciated the Vice Chancellor’s vision of strengthening academia-industry linkage. Both parties expressed strong interest in future collaboration for sustainable agricultural practices and capacity building. The delegation lauded the role of the IUB in imparting education and capacity building of youths
